You guyyyyyyyys. If I said it once, I’ve said it a million times. If you bring your dog to your engagement session DO NOT BE SURPRISED IF THEY STEAL THE SHOW. It might just be a Misty thing (I do love them way too much), but it happens every time. “Hey! You guys look gre- OH AREN’T YOU JUST THE MOST HANDSOME PUPPERS IN THE WOOOOOORRRLLLLLD?!!!!!” Cue all the dog photos. And Leo was no exception at this Brainard Lake Engagement shoot with Sarah and Eric. Seriously, the guy had a BOWTIE for goodness sake.
I did manage to rip my attention away from Leo to also focus on Sarah and Eric. It’s a good thing too, just look how gorgeous they are! And so so in love.
It’s totally normal to be nervous about having your photos taken. But that’s what’s SO GREAT about engagement sessions. You get a chance to see just how much fun we can actually have! I mean, do Sarah and Eric not look like they’re having the best time?! Then again, maybe they just showed up with all this chemistry and I’m nothing more than a lucky bystander.
And now back to Leo. Because, really. He’s so cute and squish able.
Sarah and Eric might be newer to Colorado but they look like they they were born for the Rocky Mountains. They’ve already learned to embrace the crazy that is Colorado weather. They asked me what the weather was like before they headed up and we agreed that just a sprinkling of rain wouldn’t be enough to stop us from making beautiful images! Brainard Lake is beautiful, but it is at the mercy of the Colorado winter. Unless you’re up for a long hike through the snow, don’t plan to visit until July! Hopefully Mother Nature doesn’t throw anything to crazy at us for their December wedding! A little snow would be good, but just a little, k thx.
Sarah and Eric’s winter wedding in Breckenridge is going to be absolutely magical; their engagement session is pure evidence of that. I’m so excited to see this big love be tied up in a pretty winter bow!
If you want more dogs at weddings I recommend Jayme and Pierson’s Evergreen Barn Wedding!
