You don’t have to know Jayme and Pierson very long to know that “colorful” is a word that perfectly describes them. They love to laugh and they are great spreaders of joy. Their greatest treasure is the people in their lives above all else. They are focused on building and growing a beautiful world for each other and those they cherish. It makes complete sense as a result that their Evergreen Red Barn wedding would look like a bright and beautiful garden (especially if you’ve seen their amazing backyard engagement photos ).
The seeds of joy they’ve planted came back to them fully bloomed and beautiful. It was on all of the faces of the people who came to celebrate with them. One of my top five favorite moments of the day was seeing the reaction of all of Jayme’s bridesmaids once she finished putting on her dress. Make sure you check out their video preview below to see for yourself! And if you like their preview then you’re going to want to check out Jamie and Pierson’s full length film!
What better place for a colorful garden wedding than a beautiful red barn? The Evergreen Red Barn is the most charming setting, no matter the season.
Jayme says that these AMAZING shoes were actually the original source of inspiration for her whole wedding day. Their vibrance is a prevalent theme throughout. Jayme lost her father not long before she and Pierson’s wedding day, which is so hard. She found many beautiful ways to honor and remember him, one of which is this turquoise pendant that belonged to him. She wore it all day, close to her heart.
Here are some photos of that moment when Jayme’s bridesmaids saw her in her dress! Spontaneous applause is always a good sign! Another favorite moment, when Pierson was waiting for Jayme during their first look. Of course, the groom’s reaction when he finally sees his bride is always fun, but that moment before! That look when he’s still so excited and nervous! I dig it big time.
Probably my favorite spot at an Evergreen Red Barn wedding is the Aspen grove. I’m pretty partial to “quakies” as my Grandma D. always called them. Probably no surprise if you’ve seen my logo! I’m so glad Jayme and Pierson and their whole fabulous bridal party were willing to trudge up the hill through the tall grass for this backdrop. I did run up and down the hill a few times myself!
(Disclaimer: no one was injured in the making of these photos. I did step in a hole that was about a foot deep and give myself a nice bruise at the NEXT day’s wedding though. But that’s another story.)
It did start to mist just slightly while the rest of the bridal party was good naturedly trudging up the hill to us. So I ran down the hill to the car, grabbed the umbrella, and ran back up the hill. I definitely made my step goal for the day! So, so worth it. I so love that the slight rain never even gave them pause. Throughout their entire day, no matter what transpired, Jayme and Pierson never stopped smiling. All they cared about was marrying each other and sharing it with all these wonderful people.
Continuing to demonstrate their love for all their guests, Jayme and Pierson provided live music and snacks while they waited for the ceremony to begin. Popcorn and cold La Croix with live bluegrass – these two are my sprit animals. White Water Ramble was AMAZING and went on to live up to their “High-Octane Rocky Mountain DanceGrass” promise all evening long.
Here we’ve arrived at another of my top five favorite moments of this Evergreen Red Barn wedding. The adorable ring bearer, Bear, being totally worn out, found time for a nice nap during the ceremony. To be fair, he was working very hard at being totally awesome. And he was treated like a celebrity by everyone all day long. It’s hard work being a very cute puppy dog. Consequently, a nap was well deserved.
Jayme and Pierson did not leave their green thumb at home when it came to their wedding reception. Each guest received a charming succulent as their place card and wedding favor. I’m partial to the stripey ones. I enjoy them from a distance however, because my gardening talents don’t appear to include succulents. You can also see the vibrant inspiration of Jayme’s shoes on their place card table here!
Another gratuitous shot of Bear being adorable in his floral collar. Sorry not sorry.
We alllllllll know Misty loves food. And Fresh Tracks Food and Catering gave me PLENTY to admire. Those are palisade peaches stuffed with goat cheese. You read that right, PEACHES from PALISADE COLORADO stuffed with GOAT CHEESE. So pretty. And SO SO GOOD. The bar staff at the Evergreen Red Barn was so helpful and talented too; everyone was raving about the Cava Sangria. For dessert Jayme and Pierson skipped the cake in favor of totally customizable froyo from Chill’d. First of all, they had peach flavor. Furthermore, they had cheesecake AND brownie bites for topping y’all. Get some.
The Evergreen Red Barn purports to be “where rustic charm meets casual elegance” and I think they lived up to their claims big time. From toasts to the first dance Jayme and Pierson were surrounded by charm and twinkle lights. I feel like true love really shines under a good set of twinkle lights, don’t you?
Congratulations Jayme and Pierson! Thank you so much for welcoming us into your lives on this incredibly special day! Nate and I were honored to be witnesses and to document your love story. We also really, really enjoyed those goat cheese peaches. We wish you all the happiness (and juicy peaches) in the world as you build your future together!

Jayme is my niece. I was unable to attend this wedding and was thinking and pouting all day. Your lovely photos go a long way toward making me feel like I could share in their joy. Thank You for sharing these beautiful pictures.
Oh Kathy! I’m so glad that you have been able to enjoy the experience of Jayme’s wedding through their photos and video! That’s a very big part of why we are so passionate about what we do!
