It never fails to amaze me the way that love can just swoop right in and totally transform lives. And not just the lives of the two people doing the falling in love, but spreading to all the people around them. Love is like this really pervasive virus that way. Which, I realize, is so not a romantic comparison, but if you think you can do better feel free to send me a PM and I’ll revise and credit you appropriately.
Anyway, for now love is a virus. It takes hold out of nowhere on these two people who maybe were looking for it, or maybe they weren’t. But it hits them like a brick wall either way and all of a sudden every one they know gets a taste of it. It spreads from this couple, to their family, to their friends, and when I’m very lucky it spreads all the way to me too. The love bug was really spreading its glorious symptoms all over Breckenridge at Trista and Matt’s Agape Outpost wedding, and I for sure got it bad.
Hands down THE BEST feature of an Agape Outpost wedding in my opinion is the absolutely stunning stained glass in their chapel. Even if you have your ceremony outside on a perfect early fall day as Trista and Matt did, the chapel is a must visit for photos. (Keep scrolling for more stained glass later.)
Here’s a heart-squeezing example of the way love spreads and grows! One of the things Trista most adores about Matt is the way he adores her two girls. And they’re big fans of Matt too, to put it mildly. Love already growing by a power of four.
One of my favorite things about weddings in general, and Matt and Trista’s wedding in particular, is how it provides us the perfect opportunity to show the people we love what they mean to us. Trista’s dad, Jim, expressed many times in many ways how much he treasures his daughter, not the least of which was this embrace as he left her at the altar with Matt. Another love pump by a power of two.
Trista and Matt shared communion together during their ceremony, and it was one of my favorite parts of the day. It was such a peaceful moment of them sharing their promise with each other and God.
Another awesome moment: a totally unscripted snap of Matt and Trista after their ceremony where they look nothing short of joyful.
Pure magic. See that rainbow on Trista’s train. This Agape Outpost chapel is PURE MAGIC!
So this year I felt like I spent basically the whole month of September in Breckenridge. Which is fine by me. I think the Breck motto should be:
“Welcome to Breckenridge, where the view from the Walmart parking lot is better than it is in most of the US!”
Seriously, have you seen what the mountains look like in the Breck Walmart Parking lot? Pretty good. Also not too shabby at Agape Outpost.
Seriously folks. These guys have a love that’s highly contagious. Better get one of those blue mask thingies. Or at least stop scrolling right now. Because you WILL fall in love a little!
Congratulations Trista and Matt! And thanks for spreading your very special love to so many of us lucky bystanders.
