Carly and Rob might be newer to the Centennial State, but they’ve had no trouble at all settling into Colorado as their home. It’s no wonder that they chose a camping engagement to celebrate their upcoming wedding; they look right at home in the Rocky Mountains!
Not pictured in this blog: all the photos of the hilarious faces they made while feeding each other marshmallows. Also not pictured: the massive quantity of marshmallows I also ate this weekend. When Carly suggested a camping engagement session in Rocky Mountain National Park I wasted no time in making reservations for my own family to spend the whole weekend too!
Rocky Mountain National Park never disappoints. On the clear days it shares the most amazing golden light, and this day was no exception. I’m sure we can expect much the same for Carly and Rob’s wedding in Estes next fall! This connection right here; this is what makes the most amazing photos. All the gorgeous scenery in the world is no substitute for these glowing faces looking at each other!
After hanging around the campsite for beers and marshmallows we headed up to Trail Ridge Road to round out this camping engagement. Golden hour is magical fo sho, but so is “Blue Hour!” and this high up on the mountain it can last awhile! It *may* also include a bit of snow though, even in June. Sooooo be prepared for that.
More connection; this one might be my fave. When I asked Carly and Rob to snuggle in, just how they would if I wasn’t around, this was the result. It couldn’t be any clearer that they belong together.
Congratulations Carly and Rob! Thanks for letting me be the third wheel on your camping trip. I CAN’T WAIT to celebrate your marriage surrounded by the Rocky Mountain Fall!!
